We think it’s safe to say that our Summer Fun Day lived up to its name! We had cakes, ice-creams, BBQ, face painting, tombola, raffle, children’s bring-and-buy sale, sports day activities, games, a cheap bar, sunshine and a great turn out!
Everyone seemed to enjoy the activities and stalls run by our fantastic team of volunteers, and we were lucky to have great weather – so much so that the soaking we got at the end of the day from wet sponges being thrown at us was almost (almost!) a welcome relief from the heat.
We raised over £800, far more than we were expecting. Thank you to everyone who came along or helped out in some way! You can see some photos from the day here.
